apparantly in that Haruhi game, you can move Kyon's "gaze" by pressing the direction buttons. Like, when Haruhi is blabbering about something stupid again, you can look at the other sos members' reaction, just like Kyon does everytimes in the novels, or just look at your fav character and see her reaction~ (click meh name for the complicated link which was posted in esuyuki's article about it)

and that's an exemple of how esuyuki would play that game...

panel 1 : mood of the place = awkward
H : "and then, that guy said..."

panel 2
A : "you look like having fun ! may I join too ?"

panel 3 : mood of the place = love-love
H : "... Kyon, let's go to the clubroom"

panel 4 : room of the place = in their own little world

I believe this illustration is actually for Tokyo's birthday as well. Quite a nice gesture from the artist over at inukoyata.

Yay! Season two, and hopefully it's based off book four so we can see more Asakura. Actually, a 24 episode season that focuses on books four and seven might be the most badass thing ever.
