Hmm, seems it got confused if the file was saved as grayscale jpeg instead of regular jpeg with grey color only.

I can't help but wonder if the entire translation that you saw might have simply all been fake. Odds are more than likely I suppose, as that's the point of a "Bel-Air" the last time I checked.

Only 1 and 2 have been translated. The guy who didn't them didn't want to do 3 because of that one dickgirl pic at the end.

Well I'm using it now and it works great, though for some reason it always seems to say it's an 87% match when it's visibly to be a perfect match.

that's because I saved only thumbnails (so it's 130 MB vs. 3 GB full res), so when you compare a normal res pic it will never be an exact match compared to the thumbnail

I guess I could try thumbnailing it first and then comparing, hmm.

Hmmm, I was just thinking... since this is working pretty well now, maybe I could extend it to non-doujin pics?

My collection of those is pretty limited though, and I don't know the artist for most pics either.

Does anyone have a decent collection of pics sorted by artist? Or I guess a bunch of artist sites that I can source the pics from would be good too.

Basically anything that'll let me provide a link for a pic, otherwise all it'd be good for when someone uploads a pic, is saying "lol yeah I got that pic too, neat eh?"

Being unsatisfied with how poorly it works with less-than-perfect matches, I replaced the old gqview-based similarity engine with imgSeek. It's advertised to even find images based on a sketch you draw and submit, but I doubt that's going to work very well.

Nonetheless, it should be a lot better at finding pictures now, and when it doesn't find an exact match the images it finds do at least look semi-related.

Please let me know if you find any problems.

And I finally found out how badly the site looks on Firefox. Geez, I wish people would tell me if the site looks broken, it's not like I have 25 different browsers to test it with. Anyway, apparently Firefox doesn't support some of the most basic CSS properties that even Internet Explorer gets right. Most standards-compliant browser? Hah.

Anyway, it should look fine now even on Firefox, though on the latter works only if I briefly toggle the thumbnail display after all of them are loaded. May I hate Firefox now?

Please bear with them, it's pretty hard to grasp the nuances of the english language when it's not their native tongue.

In the novels, it isn't an alternet world.

Yuki simply wanted to be favorable in Kyon's eyes so much that she altered reality. Thus that is the real Yuki, only without knowlege that she is an alien, and with more human traits. After Kyon gets things back to normal the "real" Yuki changes a bit too. For example, she no longer is aware of what is going to happen in the future.

I only have vague memories over what happened in that novel. Although I can remember certain sequences and actions, some of the underlying themes are a little unclear at times.

This is actually a part out of "The Disappearance of Suzumiya Haruhi", which is book 4 of the series. This doujin essentially starts after the beginning of the book, then ends after the book ends. You can figure out what goes where if you read it. I won't spoil anything for you guys. ;)
